When he was seven, his father had died. At the age of 14, he was interested in cricket.

Bumrah was born in Ahmedabad in a Sikh family of Gujarat. His late father's name was Jasvir Singh Bumrah, who was a businessman. He used to run a chemical factory.

His mother's name is Mrs. Daljeet Kaur, who is the principal of the Construction High School in Ahmedabad.

Jaspreet also has a sister, whose name is Juhiika Kaur. His sister's marriage was done in the year 2016 when Bumrah was only 7 years old.

 Bumrah did not take much time to join the U-19 team of Gujarat. He took seven wickets on the batting-friendly pitch and slept the batsmen.

Jasprit Bumrah started his IPL career against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Mumbai in the year 2013.

He had taken 3 big wickets with 32 runs in his first match of IPL and won the hearts of everyone on his debut.

They were faced with Virat Kohli in Dew. Virat Kohli put three boundaries on his opening three balls, after which Sachin Tendulkar refused to worry about them and said that you bowl well.
