Sunil Narine is left handed batsman of West Indies team. Born on May 26, 1988, in Arima, Trinidad & Tobago, he is much better known for his swift deliveries as a right arm off-break bowler

Sunil Narine Background

Sunil Narine, in his trial match itself, bagged ten wickets and made his way in Trinidad & Tobago squad in 2009.

Though he did not perform well in regional first-class cricket, his good performance in ODI and T20s made him an important player for the West Indies team.

Sunil Narine Debut

Narine made his ODI debut against India in Ahmedabad, in 2011.

He made his Test debut against England in June 2012.

Sunil Narine Rise to glory

Narine rose to prominence in the Champions League T20 in 2011, as his performances helped Trinidad and Tobago pull off a few surprise results in the group stages.

That led to him being picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2012 IPL, and the Trinidadian led the side to its first ever IPL victory.

Later that year, Narine also was an instrumental cog for the West Indies in their victorious World T20 campaign in Sri Lanka.

Narine’s bowling action was questioned in Champions League Twenty20 in 2014 and he was subsequently banned from playing the final in Bangalore.

Later in 2015, the ICC finally cleared his rectified bowling action.

Sunil Narine Club career

He has played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL from 2012 onwards.

He even has featured for teams like Comilla Victorians in Bangladesh Premier League in 2017, Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League in 2017, Sydney Sixers in Big Bash League 2012 and Trinbago Knight Riders in 2017 Caribbean Premier League.

In 2017 IPL, Sunil made a half-century in just 15 balls which is the fastest in history of IPL.
